Ibadan Health Outreach

CLAHN organized a health outreach at Ile-nla, Labiran, Ibadan for approximately 40 individuals including young children. The outreach involved several health-related activities and services aimed at improving the wellbeing of participants. Health and nutrition educational talks were delivered to increase awareness of healthy lifestyle choices. Blood sugar level tests were conducted using a glucometer to screen for  diabetes. HIV tests were administered to detect individuals who may have HIV. Body mass index (BMI) measurements were taken to assess nutritional status. Blood pressure readings were taken to identify potential hypertension issues. Qualified medical personnel provided prescriptions and medical advice to participants based on the results of the screenings and examinations.  

This health outreach aimed to connect with members of the local community and improve access to basic health services for those who may find it difficult to access. Through education, screening, and medical guidance, the outreach sought to imbibe a better way of life through healthy living.

Objectives

• To conduct free medical tests for residents of this community and issue prescriptions and medical advice to them

Overall Objective

• To make sure that the residents of this area are medically fit and healthy.
